Currently for one of our clients we are looking for an Indirect Tax Senior Specialist. Our team consists of five highly engaged and experienced people who are focused on providing highest level of services. The job itself is interesting and provides lots of challenges. It keeps you developing. Definitely, you will not experience routine here.

Your new role

  • Conducting and development of Indirect Tax quality checks of FI / SD SAP entries all domains for specified Entities within regions: EMEA, LATAM, APAC, MEA, NAM
  • Work with SSCs teams to ensure proper follow up in SAP system on detected errors and ensuring that remedial action has been taken to minimize the likelihood of similar errors in future
  • Review and reporting of Indirect Tax Key Performance Indicators to Head of Indirect Tax
  • Assisting Head of Indirect Tax in risk assessment reporting
  • Participation in indirect tax related projects, process improvement actions
  • Completeness and compliance check for cross border documentation within EU
  • Handling Indirect Tax queries and daily support to the SSCs teams
  • Contribute in development of Indirect Tax Awareness Program;
  • Ensuring standardization and continues improvement in Indirect Tax processes through knowledge sharing with the SSCs teams via conduction of internal trainings and case study sessions
  • Strong focus on Indirect Tax SOP documentation regular updates
  • Screening of Indirect Tax country changes incl. monitoring of necessary process/system adjustments
  • Manage effective communication and excellent relationships with SSCs and country process stakeholders to ensure tax compliance


What you'll need to succeed

  • University degree (preferably in the field of Accountancy, Finance or Tax law)
  • Min. 1-10 year experience in international tax area especially in indirect taxation (desirable experience in working in SSC/BPO area) or min 2 years FI professional background from Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable within different countries
  • Good practical knowledge of EU/Non-EU tax law
  • Practical VAT/SAP process knowledge in an international company and ability to explain technical concepts to non-Tax and non-Finance colleagues (SAP S/4 HANA experience would be an advantage)
  • Experience in monitoring and reporting VAT external tools
  • Experience in VAT projects (transition, improvements, refunds)
  • Analytical skills, Attention to detail
  • Ability to build relationships with SSCs, Finance stakeholders, tax authorities
  • Very good knowledge of Excel (VBA skills would be an advantage)
  • The ability of working under time pressure
  • Punctuality, responsibility and conscientiousness
  • Positive and open-minded attitude
  • Ability to identify need of and conduct tax trainings
  • Mobility up to 4 weeks per assigned projects (1-2 per year)
  • Language Skills:
Internal corporate language: B1 level required Working with Customers (German, French, Spanish skills on B2 level would be an advantage)
